Award-winning Garden/Summer House.
A wide parking space on top of the garDen studio is just a step away from the gate down 20 steps to the deck level of the studio. A vehicle electric charge point can be provided on request. The floor to ceiling glass on the front facade blends the indoor & outdoor spaces into a seamless environment. A compact but fully functioning kitchen is fully equipped with top quality appliances including Fridge with freezer compartment, Hotpoint 40 litre combination microwave & oven, Induction hob, & Nespresso Machine. Supplied with all cooking utensils, crockery, tea towels & washing up equipment you'll need for your stay. The table & chairs can easily be used indoors or outdoors or the quartz breakfast bar has stools for more informal eating. Indoor space is 260 square feet & the decking is 98 Square feet. The drystone seating area with cedarwood back has Keter pouffes & table which can be used with large round wooden trays & sheepskin throws inside, outside, day or night - in anyway it suits our guest's lifestyle.
Welcome
Perched with an infinity deck over the garden, the lounge area has wonderful views over Dartmouth looking across to the rolling Devon hills opposite with Jawbones Hill at the summit. With one leather 3 seater sofas & a cowhide bucket chair. The lounge can be extended to be outside with the drystone wall & Keter pouffe seating. This area really comes into another dimension at night with outside lighting & fairy lights creating a magical atmosphere. A Samsung 'Frame' Smart TV looks like artwork on the wall when not in use and can be used with our Netflix account. Original craft & artwork features throughout both the garden studio & the apartment.
Lounge
The bedroom is compact & cosey & this was always going to be the area that was limited with space. It has however, turned out to be an incredibly tranquil sanctuary - with its lovely blackout curtain & has a top-quality standard size double bed, you may want to hibernate! This is the DEN in our garDEN studio. Lie in bed & look out to the panoramic countryside view or the moon & stars at night. A bit like a cabin, the bed needs to be accessed from the foot end, so for anyone unstable, it may not be suitable. However so for we have had up to 70-year-olds test driving this new space, thoroughly enjoying hunkering down in this cosey den. The bed has Ottomon storage underneath & hanging is accessible with coat hooks on the wall & a stand in the main bedroom. Coats can also be dried on the towel radiator or hooks in the bathroom. Feather duvets & pillows 2 feather & 2 synthetics, freshly laundered 500 thread count Egyptian white cotton covers & towels are all provided for your stay.
Bedroom
No compromises with this top-spec bathroom, featuring beautiful stone effect wave tiles & stone resin low profile shower tray with power shower. Quartz tops & shower recesses provide lots of areas to spread out your kit. A subtle automatic nightlight means you don't always have to think about light & the powerful extractor is so silent you can barely hear it. Towels are provided for your stay in the apARTment but we do recommend you bring beach towels.

Summer House
Our Victorian house is a very unique character property set in wonderful gardens with magnificent views from every level. In 1999 we inherited an overgrown & unstructured garden & it has been 21 years in the creation & still evolving...The garden is terraced on several levels & has many interesting areas including an Acer collection, sculptural firepit surrounded by agapanthus, an Agave collection, mature tree ferns, lawn, lower tropical area with sun deck & fruit & vegetable plot. It was previously featured in a major 'Coast' magazine article profiling family life by the sea. Part of the garden under the garDEN studio was designed by youngest ever Chelsea Flower show Gold Winner Mary Reynolds, it won a BALI award & was the featured in an episode of BBC series 'Small Town Gardens'.The studio garden is quite private & at the side of the main house & apARTment. The apartment looks down on the main garden and Guests are very welcome in the warmer months to use our Summer House, firepit area or lower tropical deck, where you can relax, enjoy the garden and read the Sunday papers & use the facilities to make a cup of tea.
