• Blackpool Sands - nearest beach to Dartmouth appx 5 mins drive situated on the outskirts of the village of Stoke Fleming - Venus Cafe, shop, canoe/paddleboard hire , Lifeguard

• Slapton Sands - long stretch of beach great for walks - freshwater lake with wonderful wildlife. Pub and cafes right on the beach at far end in village of Torcross:- Boat House, Start Bay Inn & Sea Breeze Cafe

 

• Strete Gate - Car park, Coffee kiosk, Great to walk dogs beneath cliff - Naturist beach at far end.

 

• East Portlemouth - Sandy beach on the Salcombe estuary with NT car park. Venus cafe nearby.

 

• Gara Rock beach - Sandy beach - great walk down from the hotel/car park on the cliff top. Great Cafe/Restaurant.

 

• Beesands - A good walking beach with The Cricket pub and excellent  seafood/fish & chips BYO cafe right on the beach. http://www.britanniaatthebeach.co.uk/

 

• South Milton - Sandy beach with dunes & great rock pools at low tide. NT car park , canoe/paddleboard hire , lifeguards - good for kite surfing & Beach House cafe

 

• Bantham - a large beach with sand dunes. Car parking /lifeguards - the best beach for surfing.

 

• Lannacombe - this tiny little sandy beach is wonderful at low tide with great rock pools - car parking is very limited.

 

• South/North Sands - these 2  Sandy beaches are in Salcombe on the estuary. Winking Prawn is a great cafe.
