The apARTment Dartmouth- Selfcatering  Hiring Terms and Conditions

 

Theresa & Simon Hart trading as Dartmouth-Selfcatering, “the Owners”. Clients applying to book a property are referred to as “the Hirers.” The names of all those who will be occupying the property during the period of booking must be specified on the “Booking Form”.

Booking Confirmation:

Bookings are confirmed & accepted upon the receipt of the signed booking form and £100 whereupon the Hirer becomes liable for the full balance of charges, which are payable 1 month prior to the commencement date of the holiday and 56 days in the case of overseas bookings. Non-payment of the balance of the hire charge by the due date will result in the owners treating the property as being available for re-booking with deposit paid being unrefundable. ­­­­Payment may be made by cheque, BACS, debit or credit card /PAYPAL. Any charges raised against the Owners by their bank for handling any form of payment, or charges for dishonoured cheques, or charges for overseas transfers, will be passed onto the Tenants who are liable to reimburse these charges.

Arrival & Departure Times:

Bookings commence at 2.00pm, unless otherwise notified, on the first day of your holiday and end at 11.00am on the day of departure.

Cancellation:

If the Hirer cancels a confirmed booking, he/she remains liable for payment of the full cost of the holiday. Upon receipt of written confirmation of cancellation from the Hirer, the owners will endeavour to re-let the property and if successful will make a full refund to the Hirer, less any  administration or banking fees incurred refund & in re-letting. Therefore it is advisable for the Hirer to take out insurance against the eventuality of cancellation arising.

Parties:

The number of persons occupying the accommodation must not exceed the number entered on the booking form or the maximum occupancy level stated as advertised without prior consent from the owners. The owners reserve the right to terminate occupancy of the property without notice or refund in the case of a breach of this condition.

Damage:

The Hirer is responsible for the condition of the property and its entire contents during the hire period, fair wear and tear accepted. The Hirer will make good any damage or loss and leave the property and contents in the same condition as the start of the rental, in a clean and tidy condition.

The person held to be responsible for the hiring party would be the person who signed the booking form. Any contract is between the Tenants and the Owners, who are responsible for providing the property to the Tenant in the appropriate condition.

The owners do not accept any responsibility for valuables or any items left in the cottages or grounds. Cars are parked at their owners own risk. Visitors are advised to have their own travel insurance in place.

In the interest of guests and locals alike, undue noise is discouraged at all times.

Smoking is not allowed inside the accommodation which all has full smoke alarm protection.

Cancellation:

In the event of holiday cancellation, the deposit and all extras are not refundable. For the avoidance of doubt in the event of holiday cancellation before an outstanding balance is due the tenant still remains responsible for payment four weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday period.

In the event of holiday cancellation, the owners will endeavour to find an alternative tenant for the holiday period and if the property is let then a full refund  will be given.
