Gara Rock - East Portlemouth Circular Walk

One of our favourites, this ticks all the boxes, gorgeous beaches, fantastic views, exercise & some nice refreshments. We always park at the National trust car park near Gara Rock Hotel and start walking down a woody lane towards the stunning East Portlemouth Beach. After a break on the beach we power it round the headland with the most amazing views of Salcombe Estuary. Following the coastal path you will be walking towards the open sea with Salcombe behind you. You emerge just by the Gara Rock Hotel (perfect for lite bites, scones, ice creams, drinks etc) & above the gorgeous Gara Rock beach.

We park near point 5, the National Trust car park next to Gara Rock Hotel & start by walking towards East Portsmouth (Lovely Beach great view across to Salcombe) points 2 & 6, round the headland point 3, back to Gara Rock Cafe, & stop there for hot drinks, scones, soup etc.
